Quick Thought:

You (Lord) prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my
head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the
days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:5-6

Mark 10:1-9
And rising up, He (Jesus) went from there to the region of Judea, and beyond the
Jordan; and crowds gathered around Him again, and, according to His custom, He
once more began to teach them.
And some Pharisees came up to Him, testing Him, and began to question Him whether
it was lawful for a man to divorce a wife. And He answered and said to them, "What
did Moses command you?" And they said, "Moses permitted a man to write a certificate
of divorce and send her away."
But Jesus said to them, "Because of your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.
But from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. For this cause
a man shall leave his father and mother, and the two shall become one flesh; consequently
they are no longer two, but one flesh.
"What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." Mark 10:1-9 (NAS)

John 5:1-9
After these things there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

Now there is in Jerusalem by the sheep gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew Bethesda,
having five porticoes. In these lay a multitude of those who were sick, blind, lame,
and withered, waiting for the moving of the waters; for an angel of the Lord went
down at certain seasons into the pool, and stirred up the water; whoever then first,
after the stirring up of the water, stepped in was made well from whatever disease
with which he was afflicted.

And a certain man was there, who had been thirty-eight years in his sickness. When
Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had already been a long time in that
condition, He said to him, "Do you wish to get well?" The sick man answered Him,
"Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, but while
I am coming, another steps down before me."

Jesus said to him, "Arise, take up your pallet, and walk." And immediately the man
became well, and took up his pallet and began to walk. Now it was the Sabbath on
that day. John 5:1-9 (NAS)
