Quick Thought:

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the
testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work,
that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4 (NKJ)

Mark 9:33-37
And they came to Capernaum; and when He (Jesus) was in the house, He began to question
them, "What were you discussing on the way?" But they kept silent, for on the way
they had discussed with one another which of them was the greatest.

And sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them, "If anyone wants to be
first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all."
And taking a child, He set him before them, and taking him in His arms, He said
to them, "Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me; and whoever
receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me." Mark 9:33-37 (NAS)

John 4:31-38
In the meanwhile the disciples were requesting Him (Jesus), saying, "Rabbi, eat."
But He said to them, "I have food to eat that you do not know about." The disciples
therefore were saying to one another, "No one brought Him anything to eat, did he?"

Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish
His work. Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest'?
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white
for harvest. Already he who reaps is receiving wages, and is gathering fruit for
life eternal; that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

"For in this case the saying is true, 'One sows, and another reaps.' I sent you
to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered
into their labor." John 4:31-38 (NAS)
