To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:
Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you. Jude 1:1b-2 (NKJ)
And while they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke
it and gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is My body."
And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, "Drink
from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out
for many for forgiveness of sins.
"But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until
that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom."
And after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. Matthew 26:26-30
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
Therefore what benefit were you then deriving from the things of which you are now
ashamed? For the outcome of those things is death.
But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit,
resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:20-23 (NAS)
