This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is
light and in Him is no darkness at all. I John 1:5 (NKJ)
Now from the sixth hour darkness fell upon all the land until the ninth hour. And
about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying," Eli, Eli, lama
sabachthani? "that is," My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?"
And some of those who were standing there, when they heard it, began saying, "This
man is calling for Elijah."
And immediately one of them ran, and taking a sponge, he filled it with sour wine,
and put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink. But the rest of them said, "Let us see
whether Elijah will come to save Him."
And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. Matthew
1 Peter 1:17-19
And if you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each man's
work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay upon earth;
knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from
your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers,
but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
1 Peter 1:17-19 (NAS)
