"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent." Revelation
"But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He
will sit on His glorious throne. And all the nations will be gathered before Him;
and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep
from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.
"Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed of My
Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For
I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink;
I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick,
and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.'
"Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry,
and feed You, or thirsty, and give You drink? And when did we see You a stranger,
and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? And when did we see You sick, or in
prison, and come to You?'
"And the King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that
you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it
to Me.' " Matthew 25:31-40 (NAS)
1 Peter 2:4-10
And coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected by men, but choice and precious
in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual
house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God
through Jesus Christ.
For this is contained in Scripture: "Behold I lay in Zion a choice stone, a precious
corner stone and he who believes in Him shall not be disappointed."
This precious value, then, is for you who believe. But for those who disbelieve,
"The stone which the builders rejected, this became the very corner stone," and,
"A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense"; for they stumble because they are
disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed.
But you are a chosen race a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for
God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called
you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but
now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received
mercy. 1 Peter 2:4-10 (NAS)
