Quick Thought:

"For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of
the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us..."
Hebrews 9:24 (NKJ)

Luke 19:11-27

And while they were listening to these things, He (Jesus) went on to tell a parable,
because He was near Jerusalem, and they supposed that the kingdom of God was going
to appear immediately. He said therefore, "A certain nobleman went to a distant
country to receive a kingdom for himself, and then return. And he called ten of
his slaves, and gave them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business with this until
I come back. But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying,
'We do not want this man to reign over us.'

"And it came about that when he returned, after receiving the kingdom, he ordered
that these slaves, to whom he had given the money, be called to him in order that
he might know what business they had done. And the first appeared, saying, 'Master,
your mina has made ten minas more.' And he said to him, 'Well done, good slave,
because you have been faithful in a very little thing, be in authority over ten
cities.' And the second came, saying, 'Your mina, master, has made five minas.'
And he said to him also, 'And you are to be over five cities.' And another came,
saying, 'Master, behold your mina, which I kept put away in a handkerchief; for
I was afraid of you, because you are an exacting man; you take up what you did
not lay down, and reap what you did not sow.'

"He said to him, 'By your own words I will judge you, you worthless slave. Did you
know that I am an exacting man, taking up what I did not lay down, and reaping what
I did not sow? Then why did you not put the money in the bank, and having come,
I would have collected it with interest?' And he said to the bystanders, 'Take the
mina away from him, and give it to the one who has the ten minas.' And they said
to him, 'Master, he has ten minas already.'

"I tell you, that to everyone who has shall more be given, but from the one who
does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away. But these enemies of
mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them in my
presence." Luke 19:11-27 (NAS)

John 18:1-11
When Jesus had spoken these words, He went forth with His disciples over the ravine
of the Kidron, where there was a garden, into which He Himself entered, and His
disciples. Now Judas also, who was betraying Him, knew the place; for Jesus had
often met there with His disciples. Judas then, having received the Roman cohort,
and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, came there with lanterns
and torches and weapons.

Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon Him, went forth, and
said to them, "Whom do you seek?" They answered Him, "Jesus the Nazarene." He said
to them, "I am He. And Judas also who was betraying Him, was standing with them.
When therefore He said to them, "I am He" they drew back, and fell to the ground.

Again therefore He asked them, "Whom do you seek?" And they said, "Jesus the Nazarene."
Jesus answered, "I told you that I am He if therefore you seek Me, let these go
their way, that the word might be fulfilled which He spoke, "Of those whom Thou
hast given Me I lost not one."

Simon Peter therefore having a sword, drew it, and struck the high priest's slave,
and cut off his right ear; and the slave's name was Malchus. Jesus therefore said
to Peter, "Put the sword into the sheath; the cup which the Father has given Me,
shall I not drink it?" John 18:1-11 (NAS)
