Luke 22:63-71
And the men who were holding Jesus in custody were mocking Him, and beating Him,
and they blindfolded Him and were asking Him, saying, "Prophesy, who is the one
who hit You?" And they were saying many other things against Him, blaspheming.

And when it was day, the Council of elders of the people assembled, both chief priests
and scribes, and they led Him away to their council chamber, saying, "If You are
the Christ, tell us."

But He (Jesus) said to them, "If I tell you, you will not believe; and if I ask
a question, you will not answer. But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at
the right hand of the power of God."

And they all said, "Are You the Son of God, then?" And He (Jesus) said to them,
"Yes, I am." And they said, "What further need do we have of testimony? For we have
heard it ourselves from His own mouth." Luke 22:63-71 (NAS)

Luke 3:15-22
Now while the people were in a state of expectation and all were wondering in their
hearts about John, as to whether he might be the Christ...
...John answered and said to them all, "As for me, I baptize you with water; but
One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the thong of His
sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. And His winnowing fork
is in His hand to thoroughly clear His threshing floor, and to gather the wheat
into His barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
So with many other exhortations also he (John) preached the gospel to the people.
But when Herod the tetrarch was reproved by him on account of Herodias, his brother's
wife, and on account of all the wicked things which Herod had done, he added this
also to them all, that he locked John up in prison.
Now it came about when all the people were baptized, that Jesus also was baptized,
and while He was praying, heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon
Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came out of heaven, "Thou art My beloved
Son, in Thee I am well-pleased." Luke 3:15-22 (NAS)
