And they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to Him (to Jesus), in order to
trap Him in a statement.

And they came and said to Him, "Teacher, we know that You are truthful, and defer
to no one; for You are not partial to any, but teach the way of God in truth. Is
it lawful to pay a poll-tax to Caesar, or not? Shall we pay, or shall we not pay?"

But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, "Why are you testing Me? Bring Me
a denarius to look at." And they brought one. And He said to them, "Whose likeness
and inscription is this?" And they said to Him, "Caesar's." And Jesus said to
them, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that
are God's." And they were amazed at Him. Mark 12:13-17 (NAS)

John 6:64-71
"But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning
who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him. And He
was saying, "For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me, unless
it has been granted him from the Father."

As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew, and were not walking with Him
anymore. Jesus said therefore to the twelve, "You do not want to go away also, do
you?"

Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal
life. And we have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God."

Jesus answered them, "Did I Myself not choose you, the twelve, and yet one of you
is a devil?" Now He meant Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the twelve,
was going to betray Him. John 6:64-71 (NAS)
