August 2

Quick Thought:

All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth, to such as keep His covenant and
His testimonies. For Your name's sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity, for it is great.
Psalm 25:10-11 (NKJ)

Mark 11:19-26
And whenever evening came, they would go out of the city. And as they were passing
by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots up. And being reminded,
Peter said to Him (to Jesus), "Rabbi, behold, the fig tree which You cursed has
And Jesus answered saying to them, "Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever
says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in
his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted
"Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you
have received them, and they shall be granted you.
"And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so
that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your transgressions. But
if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions."
Mark 11:19-26 (NAS)

John 6:28-36
They said therefore to Him (to Jesus), "What shall we do, that we may work the works
of God?" Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe
in Him whom He has sent."

They said therefore to Him, "What then do You do for a sign, that we may see, and
believe You? What work do You perform? Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness;
as it is written, 'He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.' "

Jesus therefore said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has
given you the bread out of heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread
out of heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and
gives life to the world."

They said therefore to Him, "Lord, evermore give us this bread." Jesus said to them,
"I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes
in Me shall never thirst. But I said to you, that you have seen Me, and yet do not
believe." John 6:28-36 (NAS)
