1 Corinthians 2:14 New International Version (NIV)
14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
God's way of doing things is foolishness to the world. It is foolishness to think you can get healed by saying "by His stripes I was healed". It is foolishness to think that if you give what you have God will bless you with more. It is foolishness to pray and love those that hate you. It is foolishness to give 10% of your gross income to the church. In the eyes of the world the ways of God are foolishness. You have a choice. You can do it God's way or you can do it the world's way.
Romans 12:2 New International Version (NIV)
2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Being "conformed" to the world is thinking and acting like the world does. We have been trained since the day we were born in how the world thinks and acts. Television will brainwash you into living like the world. Television gives you dramatic, entertaining stories on how to think and act like the world. Television embeds images and sounds into your mind that will mold and shape the way you think and act. Television can strip the power of God from your life.
You have to "transform your mind" by replacing television with the Word of God. Use that time to build up your spirit man. Feed your spirit on the Word of God and you will have the faith to overcome every situation that comes your way. Your best years are right now. Live them God's way and get God's result's.
Speak the Word: Father the Word of God is more important than television. I am renewing my mind to the Word of God so that I can do it your way and get your results.
