Quick Thought:

"And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD; it shall rejoice in His salvation. All
my bones shall say, "LORD, who is like You, delivering the poor from him who is
too strong for him, yes, the poor and the needy from him who plunders him?" Psalm
35:9-10 (NKJ)

Acts 2:29-36
"Brethren, I (Peter) may confidently say to you regarding the patriarch David that
he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

"And so, because he was a prophet, and knew that God had sworn to him with an oath
to seat one of his descendants upon his throne, he looked ahead and spoke of the
resurrection of the Christ, that He was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did His
flesh suffer decay.

"This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses. Therefore having
been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the
promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear.

"For it was not David who ascended into heaven, but he (David) himself says: 'The
Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Until I make Thine enemies a footstool
for Thy feet." ' Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God
has made Him both Lord and Christ--this Jesus whom you crucified." Acts 2:29-36

Luke 13:1-5
Now on the same occasion there were some present who reported to Him (to Jesus)
about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

And He answered and said to them, "Do you suppose that these Galileans were greater
sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered this fate?

"I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Or do you
suppose that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, were
worse culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem?

"I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish." Luke 13:1-5
(NAS)
