1 Timothy 6:11-12 New International Version (NIV)

11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

You have a fight ahead of you. Look at all the sin in this world. Every time you turn around somebody is trying to sell you sin, death, and destruction. But do not fear God has provided you with all the equipment that you will ever need - Armor, belt, breastplate, shoes, shield, helmet and the sword of God (Ephesians 6:13 - 17). Take up your sword (the Word of God) and fight the good fight of faith.

When lack shows up on your doorstep, use the Word of God to send it on down the street. When sickness tries to attack your body, use the Word of God to protect your health. When strife rears its ugly head, lunge towards it with the Word of God. Before long, you will have total victory.

Speak the Word: Father, I take up the Word of God. I use the Word as a weapon to defeat my enemy. I will overcome every obstacle.
