Quick Thought:

Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which
war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when
they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe,
glorify God in the day of visitation. 1 Peter 2:11-12 (NKJ)

Mark 5:35-43
While He (Jesus) was still speaking, they came from the synagogue official, saying,
"Your daughter has died; why trouble the Teacher anymore?" But Jesus, overhearing
what was being spoken, said to the synagogue official, "Do not be afraid, only believe."
And He allowed no one to follow with Him, except Peter and James and John the brother
of James.

And they came to the house of the synagogue official; and He beheld a commotion,
and people loudly weeping and wailing. And entering in, He said to them, "Why make
a commotion and weep? The child has not died, but is asleep." And they began laughing
at Him. But putting them all out, He took along the child's father and mother and
His own companions, and entered the room where the child was.

And taking the child by the hand, He said to her, "Talitha kum!" (which translated
means, "Little girl, I say to you, arise!"). And immediately the girl rose and began
to walk; for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were completely astounded.

And He gave them strict orders that no one should know about this; and He said that
something should be given her to eat. Mark 5:35-43 (NAS)

Romans 8:35-39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or
persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Just as it is written, "For Thy sake we are being put to death all day long; we
were considered as sheep to be slaughtered."

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,
nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor
any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which
is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39 (NAS)
