John 8:26,28 Amplified Bible (AMP)
26 …But He Who sent Me is true (reliable), and I tell the world [only] the things that I have heard from Him.
28 …I do nothing of Myself (of My own accord or on My own authority), but I say [exactly] what My Father has taught Me.
Jesus said and did what God told him to. Have you noticed that children copy their parents. That is what Jesus did here. Jesus was copying God. As children get older they will walk, talk, and act just like their parents. Well we can do the same. We can learn to speak and act just like Jesus. We can copy Jesus. Do what Jesus would do and you will get the results that Jesus got.
Speak the Word: Father I will act like Jesus. I will say what Jesus would have said. I will do what Jesus would have done. I will go where Jesus would have gone.
