Quick Thought:

"But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a
great struggle with sufferings: partly while you were made a spectacle both by reproaches
and tribulations, and partly while you became companions of those who were so treated;
for you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering
of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves
in heaven." Hebrews 10:32-34 (NKJ)

Luke 21:5-11

And while some were talking about the temple, that it was adorned with beautiful
stones and votive gifts, He said, "As for these things which you are looking at,
the days will come in which there will not be left one stone upon another which
will not be torn down.

And they questioned Him, saying, "Teacher, when therefore will these things be?
And what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?"

And He said, "See to it that you be not misled; for many will come in My name, saying,
'I am He,' and, 'The time is at hand'; do not go after them. And when you hear of
wars and disturbances, do not be terrified; for these things must take place first,
but the end does not follow immediately."

Then He continued by saying to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom
against kingdom, and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues
and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven." Luke 21:5-11

John 19:31-37
The Jews therefore, because it was the day of preparation, so that the bodies should
not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day, asked Pilate
that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

The soldiers therefore came, and broke the legs of the first man, and of the other
man who was crucified with Him; but coming to Jesus, when they saw that He was already
dead, they did not break His legs; but one of the soldiers pierced His side with
a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water.

For these things came to pass, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, "Not a bone
of Him shall be broken." And again another Scripture says, "They shall look on Him
whom they pierced." John 19:31-37 (NAS)
