Romans 8:2 New International Version (NIV)
2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.
We have been freed from the law of sin and death. Because we have the Holy Spirit in us, we do not have to live in sin. We can overcome sin. We can obey God through the Holy Spirit we have in us. Now, Jesus summed up the law of the Spirit of life for us.
Matthew 22:37-40 Amplified Bible (AMP)
37 And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).
38 This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment.
39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself.
40 These two commandments sum up and upon them depend all the Law and the Prophets.
Notice that Jesus said that these two commandments sum up all the Law. You could say it this way "All of the other commands are based upon the law of love". So let's keep this real simple. When you walk in love, you are under the law of the spirit of life. When you do not walk in love, you are under the law of sin and death.
Now, when the bible talks about sexual sin, lying, gossip, anger, stealing, or … The bible is giving you instructions on how to walk in love. God is revealing to us how to walk in love. With salvation, we made a choice. Walking in love is a choice. To complete your destiny, to reach your destination, walk in love. Follow the love letters of God (the Bible). Follow the commands of God and you will do great exploits for Jesus.
Speak the Word: Father, I follow the law of love. I seek to walk in love with everyone I am in contact with and especially my loved ones.
